from a while back. a song about the ego. or someone whose partner likes psychedelic drugs but our narrator disapproves. or whatever you like.
the programmed drums feel a bit sluggish at this tempo. could be because it's on the grid rather than pushing against the metronome. garageband midi (as i know it) does not swing. gotta swing against it. maybe it just needs to be faster. couldn't tell until everything was recorded on top. oh well. next time.
lyrics
i don't wanna let you go away
i don't wanna let you go
i don't wanna make you wanna stay
but i don't wanna let you go
the sun shines in your mind it makes you happy
the sun shines in your mind and it's not right
i don't wanna let you go away
i don't wanna let you go
real life is always cold and gray
i don't wanna let you go
the sun shines in your mind and makes you happy
the sun shines in your mind and it's not right
tell me something beautiful and i'll say "that's impossible"
show me something magical and i don't care
all i can imagine looks like something familiar, oh
all i want is what's already here
